Capitalism at its Best

This article details the incredible disparity between the salary of the average worker vs. the salary of the average CEO. Some figures:
  • The average CEO daily paycheck: $42,000.
  • The average worker made about $400 less last year than the average CEO made in one day.
  • The average CEO made 262 times what the average worker made.

Yesterday in Kansas City I watched Angel Berroa, the Royals shortstop, drop a simple infield fly ball that cost the Royals two runs. I wonder what he gets paid for his skills on a daily basis, I'm too lazy to look it up. I'm sure it's more than I make in a year and I dominated wiffle ball in High School PE. -

Berroa is being paid $2,000,000 this season, which is roughly $12,346 per game.

That makes me feel better Josh:) J/K...

We have to be content with our wages...I am, but I bet Berroa really is:)

How do we even start to change a culture that clearly values the wrong things. I'm pretty sure President Bush makes way less than that...

The President is no CEO, but he still makes more than $1000 a day with his $400,000 yearly salary, not including his $50,000 non-taxable expense account.

But presidents get pretty sweet pension plans. Bill Clinton stands to collect $7.29 million, although Reagen's was a paltry $2.5 million.

I do find it interesting that the presidential salary stood at $200,000 a year for some 30 years. Too bad the president can't vote himself a raise as easily as Congress can.

I am courious if the average worker salary includes CEOs' salary. I bet you it does. I am courious to know what the average income per worker excluding CEOs compared to CEOs' income. I wouldn't change much but the gap would increase a little bit
